Cokesbury UMC Adult Sunday School is starting a new book series "Faith - Depending on God" from the Life Guide Bible Studies. Do you wonder why don't I get what I pray for? How do I know God is really there? If you ever struggle with uncertainties about faith, you find good company in the pages of the Bible. In these studies you'll meet people who asked similar question, and you'll learn from the biblical teachings of faithful people. Asking hard questions is the first step in your journey to deeper trust.
Please join us Sunday @10:45am in Lowe Chapel beginning on September 24th for this engaging study. If you have any questions or would like to join please contact Colleendavis01@gmail.com

SHARING THE GOOD LIFE

Everyone is looking for the good life. Television shows have been produced about it. Hit songs have been sung about it. But long before this modern focus, Jesus told his disciples that he came to show them the way to the good life, and his teaching helps us reframe our thinking about it. In this series, we'll explore what Jesus said about the good life and the keys he gave to experiencing it.

We are beginning our collection for shoebox supplies for November. At this time we asking for individually wrapped candy. If you need a box please pick one up between services.  Please bring your items on Sunday at Church or to the Church Office.

Join us for  Saturday Night Service  "Converge"with Dinner and Worship from 5:30pm - 7:00pm.

CONVERGE is an all ages, family style event combining dinner, music, fellowship, and fun in a fresh interactive format focused on relationship building.  Building relationships with each other and most importantly, with Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit, will be the intentional focus throughout each part of the program.
We will be patterning ourselves off of how the early church organized itself in Acts 2: 42-47.  Worshiping together, praying together, studying together, singing together, eating together, living with each other as the Body of Christ.

The program will change from week to week to keep it fresh.  We will have shorter sermon sections, followed by table discussions and singing.  The room will be arranged in a semi circle, with round tables to enhance discussions and relationship building.  Children and teens will be lead in parallel activities that they will then share with the group at the end of the service.

The music will be coffee house style with one musician leading the service with up tempo, fun and joyful songs.
